Exciting times! The 2013 Red House Children’s Book Award shortlist is out!

The only children’s book award solely voted for by children, the Red House Children’s Book Award has always been one of my favourites. These days I am more directly involved in its running, through FCBG, so it is very close to my heart.

The official artwork this year has been designed by Chris Wormell, winner of the Younger Children category last year with Scruffy Bear and the Six White Mice.
