Rather than a christmas story, this is actually an anthology of traditional Christmas Carols and Songs. From We Wish You a Merry Christmas to I Saw Three Ships, a double-spread is dedicated to each song and includes the words, the musical score as well as beautiful, timeless and festive silhouette illustrations by Sandy Nightingale.
There are 3 musicians in the Library Mice household (I am the odd one out as I can play nothing!) and they have had lots of fun having a go and at a few of the songs. But it is also a lovely collection if all you want are the lyrics, whether it is for a carol service, Christmas party, school play or just a good old singalong! A lovely little book.
